What is Masquerade Ball?

UC San Diego Circle K International cordially invites you to the 21st annual Masquerade Ball, the largest magical formal of the season. Fill your storybook with tales of this legendary night on beautifully crafted wonderlands.

Masquerade Ball is one of UCSD's first formals of the year and is UCSD Circle K's largest event. This year on November 17, UCSD Circle K will be holding its annual Masquerade Ball fundraiser with our profits benefiting Feeding America.

NOTE: This event is only for UC San Diego students, CNH Circle K members, and all approved guests!

Our Cause: Feeding America

Feeding America is a nonprofit charity organization that feeds more than 46 million people through food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other community-based agencies.

Feeding America’s mission is to provide basic food needs to America’s hungry and partnering with other organizations in raising awareness and providing financial support to those in need.

UCSD Circle K will be following Feeding America’s mission by advocating hunger awareness through thoughtful service events, donations, and food drives to better spread awareness of food insecurity within the United States.

If you are a UCSD Student and would like to pay in cash, you can pay at our table on Library Walk every day from 10AM - 2PM.

How to Enter

1. Ask your date in a cute way and take a picture/collage/video.

2. Email your picture/collage/video by Friday, November 9th at 11:59PM to mball.proposals@ucsdcki.org with the following:

- Your name

- Your date's name

- School

- Summary of what you did/reactions/etc.

3. Like the page UCSD Circle K's Masquerade Ball

4. Share your submission when it’s posted on the Facebook page!

All submissions will be posted on the Facebook page shortly after the cutoff time. The voting period will begin on November 10th and end on Friday, November 16th at 10PM PST.


- Must be a college student to enter

- Must have ALREADY purchased a Masquerade Ball Ticket

Each voucher is redeemable for 150 casino credits. VIP holders receive two vouchers!

Red Sambusas will once again be returning to Masquerade Ball bringing an assortment of their famous authentic curry chicken, potato, spinich and ground beef sambusas!

Fattykine Flipbook Photobooth

Want to re-live one of the best moments ever? Shanna and Dale from Fattykine will be providing a super cute traditional and flipbook style photobooth to capture your special moments at Masquerade Ball this year.

Regular ticket will get you access to traditional photobooth and VIP ticket holders get exclusive access to the flipbook photobooth and a VIP-only line for the traditional photobooth.

VIP pass holders may invite non-VIP guests into the flipbook photobooth. Free physical copies of the flipbook will only be given to VIP recipients. If you do not want a physical copy, everyone in the your photo group will get a link to a 7 second video of your flipbook.

Mythbusters: The Explosive Exhibition

Stop by the expanded upstair gallery and enjoy an extraordinary experience busting out old and new myths. Based on the popular MythBusters TV show, the Explosive Exhibition features an interactive gallery with original props and gadgets as well as a LIVE demonstration show!

Be sure to complete your Fleets Visit by checking out the Blueprint Room, Running in the Rain, and find out if you can pull off a tablecloth on the table without disturbing the dish.

VIP ticket includes one admission to the Mythbusters Explosive Exhibition. Tickets are available for purchase at the Fleets Science Center in front of this exhibit for just $5!

Onsite Raffle and Auction

Feeling lucky? Participate in our raffle to go home with an amazing prize! Cash in your credit winnings or buy additional raffle tickets for a chance to take home donations from our generous sponsors, each valued at $100 or more! Whether it’s free unlimited rides at Santa Monica’s Pacific Park, tickets to the National History Museum with a Chipotle gift card, or a dance class package from San Diego’s Culture Shock Dance Center, we have a package for you!

For our more valuable items, we are conducting a silent auction. Guarantee the prize you want by betting as much money as possible! Some of our auction items include: a weeknight stay at Harrah’s Resort Southern California with two free buffets, one month of yoga classes at Eight Elements West La Jolla, and a $100 Costco gift card.

We accept cash/venmo payments at the venue, just look out for the raffle table!

Parking and Transportation


This year, Masquerade Ball Committee’s is introducing San Diego’s finest party bus provided by Cali Party Bus. Get the party started all the way to the ball and back to campus again!

Shuttle: $6 per person round trip, just select the shuttle pass on the ticket purchase form.

Starting at 7:30 PM on the night of November 17th, party buses will shuttle guests from the UCSD Student Services Center on Rupertus Lane. Parking on campus is FREE during the weekends. Buses will take attendees back to campus at 12 AM.


There is a small parking lot next to the museum as well as street parking all for free.

*Attendees will be allowed one small purse. You will be searched before entering so don't bring anything you wouldn't want confiscated. This is a DRY event, meaning no alcohol will be allowed or sold on the venue. If you are discovered under the influence of any substance, you will be sent away with no refund!
